Peace Pole Project: Creating Peace Through Community Engagement

Become a Peace Builder by planting a Peace Pole to inspire peace within and among all people. Connect with a group in your community to discuss the ideal location for your Peace Pole. Once you've identified a site, be sure to get permission to plant it there. You can order your Peace Pole from Larry Strober at lsstrober@gmail.com or (415) 720-8262. Additionally, obtain a QR code decal to place on your Peace Pole, linking to this website and map. Enjoy organizing a community ceremony to plant your Peace Pole, and invite children, teens, adults, seniors, Rotary members, civic groups, schools, and clergy to your dedication ceremony to collectively celebrate peace. Don't forget to invite the media to cover the event and capture photos. We would love for you to send us some photos and share your story.

Peace Pole QR code decals are now available for order from Larry Strober at lsstrober@gmail.com or (415) 720-8262. Each QR code decal is priced at $10, or you can get them for $5 each when ordering 25 or more. This price includes postage and shipping. When you order the QR code decals for your community ceremony, please provide the physical location of your Peace Pole(s) so they can be included on the Peace Pole World Map.

Please send us some story details that we can feature on the Rotary Peace Poles website. If you have created a press release, feel free to send it along with any pictures. Alternatively, you can ask the news reporter for the original copy they used. You can also provide us with the following details about your community ceremony:  

- WHEN was the peace pole planted?  

- WHERE is it located?  

- WHO sponsored this peace pole?  

- WHAT was the motivation to create it?  

- WHY was it created?
